Kusamala’s Climate-Smart Agriculture project made headlines last week after representatives from Kusamala and the Hutton Institute presented the project to the Dowa District Executive Committee (DEC) meeting. The Dowa DEC were excited about the project and interested to hear more about the technical aspects of climate smart agriculture, particularly in relation to water management. They felt that climate change is one of the most pressing issues of the day and applauded efforts to support those who will be impacted most: rural smallholder farms.
