Energy Forest for Malawi

Energy Forest for Malawi is a 3-year project being implemented in Mangochi by Welthungerhilfe, Kusamala and Zankhalango Association Consortium with funding from the Germany Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The project seeks to contribute to the SDGs 1, 2, 7 and 11 with additional and secured forest reserves helping to both quantitatively and qualitatively improve the energy and nutrition situation of smallholder households in Mangochi. Precisely, the project is targeting to rehabilitate 15 degraded community forests (approx. 1500 ha) within Sub T/A Nambavi, T/A Nankumba and Chilipa Areas.
